‘This is an exciting opportunity for the trust to further meet the needs of Bexley children. For too long, these children’s needs could not be met locally, meaning that children had to travel quite a distance just to go to school. They will now be able to go to school where they live and enjoy the benefits of both belonging to their new school and to Trinitas.’

‘This is a fantastic opportunity to have a huge impact on the future of some of our most vulnerable young people. We are working tirelessly, alongside the Department for Education and Bexley Council, to ensure the provision is of the highest quality.’
Simon Godden, Executive Principal

'I am really excited to be Associate Principal of Cornerstone School. My aim is for Cornerstone to be more than a school; it will be a community, where young people with ASD and associated SEMH needs will receive the support needed to address barriers to learning and as a result fulfil their potential. With 20 years of experience in education, I have worked across both the Primary and Secondary sectors in a range of roles. I have worked as a Specialist Leader of Education and am a qualified SENCO.

'I was born and educated in Bexley myself and am now a parent to two young adults, one of whom fits the Cornerstone student file with ASD and SEMH issues and had to spend her secondary education out of borough because of the lack of specialist provision in this area.

'I look forward to working with our founding students, their families, Trinitas and the wider community in the coming weeks and months in preparation for the school opening.'
Debbie Donnelly, Associate Principal
